No report.Ann S + Brent E - Activities CoChairsFly-in at Potato had OK weather. Some had nice flights. If better estimates of attendance were available, food and/or refreshments would be easier to plan. Roy - Treasurer$4800 in the bank. Please be sure to change your contact information on the BAPA web site. Old Business:Dunlap launch improvements. $1000 for heavy equipment rental was requested. $450 was approved by unanimous vote, pending a project plan. What about USHPA Foundation, other local clubs contributing to get to the $1000 required?
Our contribution paid off - After starting out sick, Honza finished 9th in the Red Bull X-Alps! New Business:Again, there are problems with paid training at Mussel Rock. This is not acceptable to the Daly City city government and is not tolerated. Apparently the training this time is tandem HG flights, perhaps because a local HG instructor recommended the site for commercial flights. Tom to follow up, possibly with USHPA assistance. Again, blowbacks at Mussel Rock are a concern. There has been a lot of discussion on the mailing list. The big question seems to be how can we get people to get site intros? If pilots are informed of the risks, perhaps better decisions will be forthcoming.
