BAPA Meeting Minutes 11/1/2006 Tim Sirianni for Alex Koorkoff Ann Sasaki called the meeting to order at 7;05 p.m. There were 26 members attending. New members included Shaun Webster, Harry Sandoval, Brian, Brent Erdmann, David Ismay.
Officer Reports – Wally Anderson, Safety Director talked a little about WOR President Steve Deleo’s fatal ultralight accident over the weekend. Wally also mentioned a recent blowback incident at the Dump on a good flying day. Atta Pilram, Treasurer Report Currently, we have $4582 and 159 members. 34 existing members still not registered on the new web site. Ann said she would contact those on the list who are still flying.
Ann Sasaki, President’s Report Calendar voting accomplished by 41 folks. Wayne's getting pricing, Julie's working on ordering process.
Holiday party to be held at 6:30 PM on December 9, 2006, at Tom Moock's house. Thanks, Tom. BAPA will provide basic food, attendees to bring more. RSVP email will be sent shortly. Expecting about 80-85 people. Jug will present XC league awards at the party. Old Business Atta pointed out that we have these bylaw changes to make: - Newsletters need to change frequency to match current practice. - Substitute USHPA for USHGA to account for the national organization's recent name change. Motion made by Ann that the meeting minutes be approved as published in the latest newsletter, August + September 2006. Seconded by Rolf. Motion passed. Meeting Adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
Door prizes - A water bottle and a set of stuff sacks were awarded to two members attending the meeting. Entertainment – After the meeting, Ann Sasaki, Wally Anderson, Julie Spiegler, Gever Tulley, Eric Reed, Tom Moock and Rolf Bienert discussed Safety Tips for flying at the coast, in the mountains, XC and for newer pilots. The discussion went on for about 45 minutes and there was more to cover so we will continue the discussion at the January 3 BAPA meeting in SSF. |
